The Skull's History
The wolf skull was taken from a timber wolf (Canis lupus) that was destroyed as part of the wolf- livestock depredation control program in Kittson County, Minnesota on May 28, 1996. The wolf was an adult male. The skull was donated to IUP by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for educational use and public display. The Biology Department of IUP appreciates being allowed to use this valuable material and is glad to be able to share it with the public through the following pictures.
